Steward's Report
Duty Sheet and Kostya Nuffen were slow to begin. Jack's Alouette, Blue And Cool and With A Whisper collided soon after the start severely checking With A Wisper which collided with Duty Sheet. Kostya Nuffen and Ava Crowder collided approaching the first turn. Duty Sheet galloped on the heels of Jack's Alouette on the first turn severely checking Jack's Alouette. Duty Sheet faltered entering the home straight and lost ground. Jack's Alouette eased in the home straight.
Duty Sheet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle, right pencil muscle and right triangle muscle. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of the greyhound Jack's Alouette regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Jack's Alouette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jack's Alouette with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Jack's Alouette was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
