Duty Sheet and Kostya Nuffen were slow to begin. Jack's Alouette, Blue And Cool and With A Whisper collided soon after the start severely checking With A Wisper which collided with Duty Sheet. Kostya Nuffen and Ava Crowder collided approaching the first turn. Duty Sheet galloped on the heels of Jack's Alouette on the first turn severely checking Jack's Alouette. Duty Sheet faltered entering the home straight and lost ground. Jack's Alouette eased in the home straight.

Duty Sheet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle, right pencil muscle and right triangle muscle. A stand down period of 21 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Ward, the trainer of the greyhound Jack's Alouette regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Jack's Alouette was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Jack's Alouette with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Ward pleaded guilty to the charge, Jack's Alouette was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Atlas Roughhead, Cosmic Wish and Any Other Union collided soon after the start. Zelemar Leap and Paper Cuts collided approaching the first turn. Any Other Union and Kev's Fantasy collided approaching the first turn. Atlas Roughhead, Cosmic Wish and Any Other Union collided on the first turn. Stewards spoke to Mr T.Duncan, the trainer of All Inn Piper regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. All Inn Piper last raced on 20 April, 2017. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a left fore toe injury.

Last Princess was slow to begin. Bald Wal and Vanderville Kid collided soon after the start. Hotlips Matilda, Tat Scooby and Bald Wal collided approaching the first turn checking Hotlips Matilda. Bald Wal and Vanderville Kid collided on the first turn. Tat Scooby, Bald Wal and Vanderville Kid collided approaching the home turn. Storm Of All was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ima Terror and Minks'a Destiny collided soon after the start. Miss Twerker, Sisco Blast, Vintage Queen and Starface collided approaching the first turn checking Miss Twerker and Sisco Blast. Ima Terror and Sisco Blast collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Starface raced wide in the home straight.

Simply Good was a late scratching at 1:47pm due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Kubik, the representative of Fairly Legal regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Fairly Legal last raced on 16/12/2016. Mr. Kubik stated that the greyhound has had a change of kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Fairly Legal trialled over the 425mt from box 8, weight 31.0kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.70, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5kg L. Fairly Legal was cleared.
