Stewards spoke to Mr J.Mangion, the trainer of the greyhound Nippy Allen and reminded him of his responsibilities in ensuring that he follows the correct dress code pursuant to LRR 22.3.

Luka's Choice was slow to begin.  Way Things Are checked off Nippy Allen soon after the start.  Black In Town, Liscoyle Lass, Luka's Choice, Avatar Zorro and Nippy Allen collided approaching the first turn, severely checking Black In Town, Liscoyle Lass, Avatar Zorro and Luka's Choice causing Avatar Zorro to stumble and Luka's Choice fell as a result.  Avatar Zorro checked off Black In Town on the home turn.

Luka's Choice was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr V.Mileto, the trainer of Doc Nam regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Doc Nam last raced on 16 March, 2017. Mr Mileto stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after multiple injuries. Mr Mileto declared a new weight of 31.5kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Doc Nam last raced at 30.4kg.

A pre-race sample was taken from Molly's Money.

Kraken Lanina was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Jake Delight checked off Molly's Money approaching the first turn checking Ultimate Return and Lorella.  Jake Delight and Semantic Shift collided on the home turn and again several times in the home straight.

Kamchatka Kid was slow to begin.  Chillby and Twilight Liason collided soon after the start.  Kid Dynamo and Missy Marlus collided approaching the first turn checking Chillby.  Kid Dynamo and Chillby collided on the home turn.  Storm Of All and Kamchatka Kid collided entering the home straight.  Gidgee's Boss checked off Storm Of All in the home straight.

Kraken Lil was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Rattle Gate checked off Raglan Bindi soon after the start.  Vintage Storm and Kraken Titch collided approaching the first turn causing Kraken Titch to check off Raglan Bindi as a result.  Raglan Bindi and Rattle Gate collided approaching the first turn checking Rattle Gate.

Race Roquette was slow to begin.  Tat Tubby checked off All Inn Layla approaching the first turn.  Gunai Chief and Race Roquette collided on the first turn.  Tat Tubby and All Inn Hunter collided on the first turn.  Tat Tubby checked off All Inn Hunter approaching the home turn checking Tat Tubby and Vanderville Girl.  Test Pilot checked off Tat Tubby on the home turn.  Race Roquette raced wide on the home turn.  Tat Tubby and All Inn Hunter collided several times in the home straight.

Flying Mia was slow to begin.  Chrissy Pee and Sisco Swift collided soon after the start.  Sisco Swift checked off Ebony Eclipse approaching the first turn checking Chrissy Pee and Flying Mia.  Ebony Eclipse and Olympic Lass collided on the first turn checking Olympic Lass.  Tat Molly and Kamchatka Lass collided several times in the home straight.  Tat Molly, Kamchatka Lass, Sisco Swift and Flying Mia collided in the home straight checking Sisco Swift.  Tat Molly marred Kamchatka Lass in the home straight.

Tat Molly was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both monkey muscles, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Mr B. Jones, Trainer of Tat Molly.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Tat Molly with marring.  Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Tat Molly was found guilty and the greyhound was suspended for 12 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(c), before any future nomination will be accepted.

All Inn Houston was slow to begin.  Trademark Bliss checked off Bald Wal approaching the first turn, severely checking All Inn Houston which faltered as a result.  Lodge's Express, Fairway Drive and Irinka Cheryl collided on the first turn, severely checking Lodge's Express and Minka's Destiny which lost ground as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr F.Meyer, the trainer of Coopnarcha regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Coopnarcha last raced on 4 April, 2017. Mr Meyer stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a injury to both metacarpals and a spell.
