Pre-race samples were taken from Rippin Hayne and Barnes Banana upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Liebig Street and Alezan were slow to begin. Rippin Hayne and Barnes Banana collided soon after the start. Precious Destini and Alezan collided on the first turn and in the front straight checking Precious Destini. Liebig Street checked off Rippin Hayne on the second turn. Alezan and Barnes Banana collided approaching the third turn severely checking Alezan which collided with Rippin Hayne. Cheese Ya Later checked off Kachina Allen approaching the third turn. Liebig Street checked off Barnes Banana approaching the home turn. Liebig Street and Rippin Hayne collided on the home turn checking Liebig Street.
