Steward's Report
Cracking Joe and Lissa Breen were slow to begin. Bugs Boloney and Select Daniel collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Lissa Breen faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result. Conclusive eased on the home turn and collided with Cracking Joe checking both greyhounds. Conclusive and Denied Justice collided entering the home straight checking Bugs Boloney, Conclusive and Denied Justice.
Bugs Boloney was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg dew claw injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Lissa Breen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hamstring injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Proctor, the trainer of the greyhound Conclusive regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Conclusive was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind. No stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Conclusive with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs. Proctor pleaded not guilty to the charge, Conclusive was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
