Steward's Report
Kalani Klare was a late scratching at 2.02pm due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Waleonjon.
Cairo calling was quick to begin. Stirling Defence was slow to begin.
Waleonjon and Shanlyn Percy collided soon after the start. Golden Warrior, Cairo Calling collided on the first turn checking Cairo Calling and Shanlyn Percy. Stirling Defence and Waleonjon collided on the first turn. Paws And Go raced wide approaching the second turn. Waleonjon clipped the heels of Shanlyn Percy in the back straight and fell severely checking Paws And Go.
Waleonjon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left metatarsal, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
