Onya Sami and Really Magic collided soon after the start.  Onya Sami galloped on Vienna Pink approaching the first turn.  Our First Lady and Beautiful Ride collided on the first turn severely checking Our First Lady which contacted the running rail.  Vienna Pink and Careless Cookie collided approaching the home turn.  Really Magic and Beautiful Ride collided approaching the home turn.  Onya Sami crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Our First Lady causing Onya Sami to contact the running rail.

Elram Girl and As Sweet As were quick to begin.  Milly's Way was slow to begin.  Elram Girl and As Sweet As collided soon after the start.  Thorn And Roses, It Gets Better, Zipping Chrystal and Miz Josie collided approaching the first turn checking Zipping Chrystal and Miz Josie.  Elram Girl and As Sweet As collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  It Gets Better was checked off Thorn And Roses on the first turn checking Milly's Way.  As Sweet As, Thorn And Roses and Let's Run collided approaching the home turn checking Thorn And Roses.

Miz Josie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Vienna Black, Coolan Mist and Bella Vitali collided soon after the start checking Coolan Mist and Bella Vitali.  Alira Kate crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Swisher, Galester Hook and Vienna Black.  Swisher, Galester Hook and Vienna Black collided approaching the first turn.  Coolan Mist contacted the running rail on the first turn checking Coolan Mist.  Vienna Black, Jasocate and Just Smile collided approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Mckay the trainer of Mano Warrior regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mano Warrior last raced 6 March, 2016 and is returning to racing after a change of kennel and an injury to the left fibula. 

The Club's Veterinary Surgeon examined Atari Flash and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:12pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer  Mr. B. Sonneman was fined the sum of $100.

Saturday Sip was quick to begin.  Avatar Hunter was slow to begin.  Avatar Hunder and Show Me Bling collided approaching the first turn checking Avatar Hunter.  Gat's Prodigy and Show Me Bling collided on the first turn.  Genius Free crossed to the rail approahcing the home turn checking Gat's Prodigy and Show Me Bling.  Saturday Sip and Mano Warrior collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

My Boy Ollie was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the right hind foot, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Bag Of Magic was slow to begin.  Dewana Result, Mumma Hook and Beckenbauer collided soon after the start checking Dewana Result and Mumma Hook.  Mumma Hook was checked off Dewana Result approaching the first turn.  Dewana Result and Mumma Hook collided approaching the first turn.  Paua To Admit and Bag Of Magic collided on the first turn severley checking Paua To Admit.

Johnny Mobster, Aston Sloan and Roll 'Em Missy collided soon after the start.  Blingzilla crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Roll 'Em Missy, Cash And Co, Silver Salute, Hot Blooded and Miss Johannsen.  Cash And Co and Silver Salute collided several times approaching the first turn.  Johnny Mobster was checked off Blingzilla on the first turn.  Cash And Co and Silver Salute collided on the first turn checking Cash And Co.  Silver Salute was checked off Hot Blooded approaching the home turn.

Invictus Ash was quick to begin.  Stroke Of Genius and Our Rebel were slow to begin.  Cost Cutter, Invictus Ivy and Stroke Of Genius collided on the first turn checking Cost Cutter and Stroke Of Genius.  Our Rebel and Aston Regas collided on the first turn.  Our Rebel galloped on Aston Regas on the first turn checking Our Rebel and Stroke Of Genius and severley checking Aston Regas.

A sample was taken from Stunning Success - second placegetter in the event.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. Greenough, the handler of Espanyol regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Espanyol last raced 11 Janurary, 2016.  Mrs. Greenough stated the greyhound was returning from an injured back muscle and has had a change of kennel.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tactical Miss.

King Kai, Ginger Pieces and Tactical Miss were quick to begin.  Tactical Miss crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking King Kai, Tactical Miss, Tumble And Dry and Ginger Pieces.  Down Every Road and Samsara Lass collided on the first turn.  King Kai galloped on Down Every Road on the first turn checking King Kai.  King Kai was checked off Down Every Road approaching the home turn causing King Kai to collide with Espanyol.  Tumble And Dry and Ginger Pieces collided approaching the home turn.  King Kai crossed to the outside on the home turn severely checking King Kai and Espanyol, Espanyol stumbled and lost considerable ground.

Espanyol was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left chest muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Worthy Reab and Falcao were quick to begin.  Falcao crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking My Names Schultz and Linny Morris.  Linny Morris, Hundred and Cool Sam collided approaching the first turn.  Falcao and Ultimate Conor collided on the first turn checking Ultimate Conor and Phillip Keeping.  Worthy Reab and My Names Schultz collided on the first turn checking Worthy Reab, Phillip Keeping and Ultimate Conor.  Phillip Keeping, Hundred and Cool Sam collided on the first turn.  Linny Morris and Cool Sam collided approaching the home turn.  Phillip Keeping was checked off Cool Sam on the home turn.
