Steward's Report
Pre-race samples were taken from Zamperini, Dodgey Dede and Solo upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Veterinary Surgeon Dr S. Karamatic did not act in any official capacity for this event.
A pre-race sample was taken from Smokem Jimmy.
Solo was slow to begin. Smokem Jimmy and Stunning Success collided soon after the start. Felton Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Smokem Jimmy, Dodgy Dede, Funky Pirate and Stunning Success. Funky Pirate and Solo collided on the first turn. What's To Like and Felton Bale collided on the first turn checking Felton Bale. Dodgy Dede faltered on the second turn and lost ground.
Dodge Dede was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Zamperini, the winner of the event.
