Stewards spoke to Mr G. McMillan, Trainer of the greyhound Agent Alyssa which had not raced since 26 February 2016. Mr McMillan stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and had been spelling.

Why Not Barrel was slow to begin.  Dream Of Fame and Mighty Matlock collided soon after the start.  Why Not Barrel and Agent Alyssa collided on the first turn, severely checking Agent Alyssa.  Addictive Riley and Radio Silent collided on the second turn checking Radio Silent.  Mighty Matlock and Addictive Riley collided in the back straight, severely checking Addictive Riley and Who's Driving causing Who's Driving to fall, severley checking Addictive Riley which checked Agent Alyssa as a result.  Why Not Barrel and Radio Silent collided approaching the home turn.  Why Not Barrel galloped on the heels of Radio Silent on the home turn, severley checking both greyhounds.

Who's Driving  was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Addictive Riley was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hind foot, no stand down period was imposed.  Stewards issued a warning to Mr P. Goold, Trainer of Addictive Riley, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the back straight.

Pre-race samples were taken from It's A Bird and Nitro Power.

Leopardstown and Nitro Power collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Pipeline Rumour, Saywah Tonayo and Nitro Power collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Pipeline Rumour and Saywah Tonayo collided approaching the second turn.  Saywah Tonayo and Nitro Power collided on the second turn causing Pipeline Rumour, Saywah Tonayo and Nitro Power to collide checking Saywah Tonayo as a result.  Three Day Shadow and Pipeline Rumour collided on the home turn.

Tiny Bopper crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Mepunga Treasure and causing Mainline Osti and Tiny Bopper to collide.  Destini Supreme raced wide soon after the start checking Dash Of Rose, All A Blaze and Moonlit Wings.  Dash Of Rose and Moonlit Wings collided on the first turn.  Destini Supreme checked off Mainline Osti on the second turn checking All A Blaze.  Moonlit Wings checked off Destini Supreme entering the back straight checking All A Blaze.  All A Blaze checked off Mepunga Treasure on the home turn.

All A Blaze was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Sailaway Jackie was quick to begin.  Snow Matter was slow to begin.  Mister Brown, Go Vicki and Bordeaux Miss collided soon after the start.  Toshulan and Dennis Gallon collided approaching the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Dennis Gallon and Go Vicki.  Mumma Josie clipped the heels of Sailaway Jackie approaching the home turn.  Dennis Gallon and Go Vicki collided on the home turn.

Mepunga Tyler and Elite Enfield collided soon after the start.  Elite Enfield and Darpa Bale collided soon after the start checking Darpa Bale.  Mincin' Machine, Greysynd Chief, Mepunga Tyler and Asa Hard Knox collided approaching the first turn checking Mincin' Machine and Greysynd Chief.  Mepunga Tyler, Darpa Bale and Lemon Sunrise collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Tyler and Darpa Bale, severely checking Lemon Sunrise which stumbled.  Greysynd Chief and Asa Hard Knox collided entering the home straight.

Dr. Leonardo was quick to begin.  Linco Bale was slow to begin.  Dr. Leonardo, Jaimandy Hatty and Dewana Babe collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Linco Bale checked off Fantastic Tail in the back straight.  Dewana Babe clipped the heels of Quizmaster approaching the home turn.  Dr. Leonardo galloped on the heels of Fantastic Tail approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.

Ivy Bale was quick to begin.  Ballerino was slow to begin.  Midnight Flynn and Ballerino collided soon after the start.  Dewana Result and White Bandit collided approaching the first turn.  Allen Membo and Quasi Bale collided on the first turn checking Quasi Bale, severely checking Allen Membo.  Midnight Flynn raced wide entering the front straight checking Zipping Zeus and Quasi Bale.  Zipping Zeus and Quasi Bale collided on the second turn.  Dewana Result and Zipping Zeus collided approaching the home turn.

After the giving of "All Clear", the Judges inadvertently changed and semaphored the incorrect placings.  This was corrected to 8-5-3-1.  The Judges were subsequently reminded of their responsibilities to ensure sufficient time has passed for the all clear to be broadcast before making any adjustments to the judging system which may in turn affect the semaphore board.

Hercules Bale and Dance Craze were slow to begin.  Allen Kempo and My Silver Chisel collided soon after the start.  Fantastic Roxy and Demon Bale collided soon after the start.  Hercules Bale checked off Weston East approaching the first turn.  My Silver Chisel and Hercules Bale collided on the first turn.  My Silver Chisel galloped on the heels of Dance Craze approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds.

Solo was slow to begin.  Smokem Jimmy and Stunning Success collided soon after the start.  Felton Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Smokem Jimmy, Dodgy Dede, Funky Pirate and Stunning Success.  Funky Pirate and Solo collided on the first turn.  What's To Like and Felton Bale collided on the first turn checking Felton Bale.  Dodgy Dede faltered on the second turn and lost ground.

Dodge Dede was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.
