Steward's Report
Hanover Bay, Softie Sue and Lover were slow to begin. Rising Storm, Hillbilly Hell and Magic Karma collided soon after the start, checking Hillbilly Hell which collided with Atomiser. Hillbilly Hell and Atomiser collided approaching the first turn. Hanover Bay raced wide on the first turn, checking Softie Sue. Hanover Bay continued to race wide for the remainder of the event.
Hanover Bay was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right foreleg shoulder, right hindleg fibula and right hindleg triangle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr D Trewin, the trainer of Hanover Bay regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Mr D Trewin pleaded not guilty to the charge. Mr D Trewin was found guilty and fined the sum of $200.
