Stewards spoke to Mrs. J. McDowall, the trainer of Jemma's Fantasy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Jemma's Fantasy last raced on 19th February 2016. Mrs. McDowall stated that the greyhound was recovering from a laceration to the right hind foot.

Jemma's Fantasy was quick to begin. Transcend was slow to begin. Drop Freddy was very slow to begin (3 Lengths). Burch Day checked off Mister Limbo on the first turn, and collided with Calvadoss and Drop Freddy. Burch Day checked off Drop Freddy approaching the home turn. Calvadoss raced wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Teauma, the trainer of  Magic Wilson regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Magic Wilson last raced on 8th February 2016. Mr. Teauma stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Sheehan, the trainer of Pay My Dues regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Pay My Dues last raced on 7th December 2015. Mr. Sheehan stated that the greyhound had been on season and was recovering from a right monkey muscle injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Bruce, the trainer of Jay Jackaroo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Jay Jackaroo last raced on 29th November 2015. Mr. Bruce stated that the greyhound had been on season. 

Xylem Hay was quick to begin. Magic Wilson and Jay Jackaroo were slow to begin. Xylem Hay, Foxy Fern and Pay My Dues collided approaching the first turn, checking Xylem Hay and Pay My Dues. Jay Jackaroo and Foxy Fern collided on the home turn. Xylem Hay and Pay My Dues collided several times in the home straight. Logan Fantasy and Noel's Flyer collided approaching the winning post.

Fool's Gold which tailed off was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Maximum  Mak was quick to begin. Talanjee Stiff and Maximum Bella collided soon after the start, checking Maximum Bella. Major Curly, Miss Rossi and Tybellene collided approaching the first turn, checking Miss Rossi, Tybellene and Maximum Bella. Major Curly and Happy Hudson collided approaching the home turn. Maximum Mak lost ground in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Gibbons, the handler of the greyhound Maximum Mak. Stewards deemed the performance of Maximum Mak unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Maximum Mak must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Seven Weeks was slow to begin. Ma Ma Keogh and Lacey's Lad collided soon after the start, checking Ma Ma Keogh. Mega Jewels and Mighty Winston collided soon after the start. Nulla Girl, Kirsty's Me Mum and Zieva collided approaching the first turn, checking Kirsty's Me Mum. Seven Weeks and Nulla Girl collided approaching the first turn, checking Nulla Girl. Kirsty's Me Mum, Ma Ma Keogh and Mega Jewels collided on the first turn, checking Kirsty's Me Mum and Mega Jewels. Seven Weeks and Lacey's Lad collided approaching the home turn. This race was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to the vet completing a sample, the Stewards clarifying the identification of one of the runners and insufficient time between races. 

Twist Of Thunder was quick to begin. Berry Bling, Farmer Brown and Let It Bling were slow to begin. Striker Klinsman and Hush Now collided soon after the start. Who's Driving and Farmer Brown collided on the first turn, checking Who's Driving. Kilty Express and Twist Of Thunder collided on the first turn. Hush Now and Berry Bling collided on the first turn, checking Hush Now. Striker Klinsman checked off Farmer Brown approaching the home turn. Hush Now and Let It Bling collided approaching the home turn. Berry Bling and Who's Driving collided entering the home straight.

Orchard Road was slow to begin. Miss Sim checked off Elram Girl approaching the first turn. Girder Fork, Soxy and Elram Girl collided on the first turn, checking Elram Girl and Miss Sim. Orchard Road checked off Elram Girl approaching the home turn.

Tally Ho Gal was slow to begin. Tally Ho Gal checked off Miss Georgia May soon after the start. Sketchy Nick, Allen Clown and Jetmag Ink collided approaching the first turn, checking Jetmag Ink and Allen Clown. Lektra Damage and Jarvis Rhode collided approaching the first turn, checking Lektra Damage, Jarvis Rhode and Stolen. Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Brennan, the trainer of Weeping Lass regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Weeping Lass last raced on 24th February 2016. Mr. Brennan stated that the greyhound had been on season. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Magic Success upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Pulciano was a late scratching at 9:23pm after the greyhound was found deceased in its kennel by trainer, Mr. S. Bruce when he went to retrieve the greyhound for this event. The ontrack veterinary surgeon Dr. D. Colson examined the greyhound and was of the opinion that the greyhound may have suffered a heart attack, with no visible signs of distress. Stewards directed that samples be taken from the greyhound and a full autopsy be conducted in accordance with GAR78. Samples were taken from the greyhound. 

Gallo Allen and Lil Arthur were slow to begin. Magic Success, Add 'Em Up and Buckle Up Nikki collided approaching the first turn, checking Add 'Em Up and Buckle Up Nikki. Buckle Up Nikki and Lil Arthur collided on the first turn. Buckle Up Nikki faltered on the first turn and tailed off as a result. Lil Arthur raced wide entering the home straight.
