Steward's Report
Malady Aubrey was quick to begin. El Surrao was slow to begin. Blue Surfonic and Thorn And Roses collided soon after the start. Milla Rose and Blue Surfonic collided on the first turn checking Sorceress Bale. Dotti Zulu and Showgirl Miss collided on the first turn checking Sorceress Bale. Sorceress Bale and El Surrao collided on the first turn. Sorceress Bale was checked off El Surrao approaching the home turn. El Surrao galloped on Blue Surfonic approaching the home turn checking Blue Surfonic and Dotti Zulu. Blue Surfonic and Dotti Zulu collided on the home turn checking Dotti Zulu. Milla Rose crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Malady Aubrey. Milla Rose eased in the home straight and collided with Malady Aubrey. El Surrao marred Milla Rose approaching the winning post. Milla Rose marred Thorn And Roses approaching the winning post checking Malady Aubrey.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Chignell the trainer of the greyhound Milla Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Milla Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triangle muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) the Stewards charged Milla Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Chignell pleaded guilty to the charge, Milla Rose was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
El Surrao was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Rowley the trainer of the greyhound El Surrao regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR (69)(1) Stewards charged El Surrao with marring. Mr. Rowley pleaded guilty to the charge, El Surrao was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
