An out of competition sample was taken from No Road engaged in this event on 16/05/16 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Barroom Express upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Galaxy Star.
Galaxy Star, No Road and Barroom Express were slow to begin. Galaxy Star and No Road collided soon after the start checking Barroom Express. Our First Lady, No Road, My Miss Polly and Squeaky Gate collided on the first turn checking Our First lady, Spritely Geared, No Road and My Miss Polly and severley checking Squeaky Gate. Galaxy Star galloped on No Road on the first turn checking No Road and Barroom Express and severely checking Galaxy Star.

Bird Special trialled over the 400 metres from box 1, weight 29.5kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.01 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of 4 lengths. Bird Special was cleared to race in a one eyed blinker (right).
