Rising Storm, Suitress and Memphis Victorem were quick to begin. Chubby Lane and Saint Berty Bodd were slow to begin. Chubby Lane checked off Saint Berty Bodd soon after the start. Surf's Magic and All Inn April collided approaching the first turn. Suitress checked off Rising Storm approaching the first turn. Split Chic and Chubby Lane collided approaching the first turn. Chubby Lane and Surf's Magic collided on the first turn. Saint Berty Bodd and Split Chic collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn. Chubby Lane and Surf's Magic collided on the home turn. Rising Storm galloped on the heels of Suitress on the home turn, severely checking Suitress. All Inn April galloped on the heels of Surf's Magic entering the home straight. All Inn April and Suitress collided entering the home straight, severely checking Suitress, and causing Split Chic to race wide. Saint Berty Bodd and Suitress collided several times in the home straight, severely checking both greyhounds.
Suitress was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the right hind leg. No stand down period was imposed.
