Maximum Chez and Enjoy Cruising collided on the first turn. Hukanui checked off Moonlit Wings and Mafalda Hopkirk approaching the second turn. Enjoy Cruising checked off Hukanui on the second turn. Supreme Deal was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left front wrist and left hind hock, no stand down period was imposed. 

The start time for this event was ammended to 3:23PM after the a South Australian race meeting was cancelled and to allow this race to be aired on Sky 1.

Dasha was quick to begin. Silky Sock was slow to begin. Rockstar Swirl and Belt Up Tubsy collided soon after the start. Firebird Tess checked off Silky Sock approaching the first turn. Rockstar Swirl and Destini Supreme collided approaching the second turn. Firebird Tess and Destini Supreme collided several times on the home turn. Belt Up Tubsy veered out and marred the running of Dasha entering the home straight. 

Belt Up Tubsy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Ennis, the trainer of the greyhound Belt Up Tubsy regarding the greyhounds racing manners entering the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Belt Up Tubsy with marring. Mrs. Ennis pleaded guilty to the charge, Belt Up Tubsy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Our Lilly was slow to begin. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Lektra Bandit. 

Expecto Patronum and Laktra Bandit were slow to begin. Expecto Patronum and Bigshow Jethro collided on the first turn. Expecto Patronum raced wide approaching the second turn, causing Lektra Bandit and Leroy Tron to race wide. Expecto Patronum and Crackerjack Choc collided on the second turn, checking Crackerjack Choc. Leroy Tron contacted the running rail on the third turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Laugh With Mary trialled over the 515m from box 1, weight 26.4kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 lengths. Laugh With Mary was cleared. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Riley, the representative of Laugh With Mary regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Laugh With Mary last raced on 7/11/15. Mr. Riley stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury and a change of trainer. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Midnight Reign trialled over the 515m from box 2, weight 34.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 22.5 lengths. Midnight Reign was not cleared. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs. B. Marshall, the trainer of Midnight Reign regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Midnight Reign last raced on the 18/10/15. Mrs. Marshall stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following injuries to both metacarpals. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Pure Zest trialled over the 515m from box 3, weight 29.8kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.60, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 10.5 lengths. Pure Zest was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mepunga Fame trialled over the 515m from box 7, weight 26.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 29.60, the greyhound won by a margin of 7 lengths. Mepunga Fame was cleared.
