A pre race sample was taken from Headline News.
The start of this event was delayed by 4 minutes due to the scheduling between races and the amount of time taken to remove the handicap boxes from the track.
Rockalot was quick to begin. Clovally Granite turned in the boxes and took no competitive part in the event. Archaeology, Oshkosh Erny Vee and Pistachios collided approaching the first turn checking Oshkosh Erny Vee and Pistachios. Allen Sharpie galloped on the heels of Oshkosh Erny Vee on the first turn. Daicos checked off Oshkosh Erny Vee on the first turn and collided with Allen Sharpie. Headline News checked off Pistachios approaching the second turn. Allen Sharpie checked off Headline News on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Daicos and Allen Sharpie collided in the home straight.
Clovally Granite was was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards established that Clovally Granite turned in the boxes. Acting under GAR 52(1) Clovally Granite was placed on a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks).
