Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hansen, the trainer of Destini Echo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Destini Echo last raced on 14th March 2017. Mr. Hansen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Chavasse, Maximum Kack and Pius Thicknesse were slow to begin. Osakalaka and Destini Echo collided approaching the first turn checking Destini Echo and Pius Thicknesse. Little Big Girl and Armageddon Now collided on the first turn checking Little Big Girl. Pius Thicknesse checked off Little Big Girl approaching the home turn severely checking Maximum Kack, Starbright Vic and Little Big Girl, Little Big Girl fell as a result.

Little Big Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Invictus Storm was quick to begin. Kraken Lanina, Wild Oscar and Manitoba were slow to begin. Wild Oscar and Hedwig collided on the first turn checking Kraken Lanina and Hedwig. Hedwig eased on the home turn checking Wild Oscar, and again in the home straight checking Wild Oscar. Wild Oscar checked off Manitoba approaching the home turn. Hedwig, Kraken Lanina and Wild Oscar raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Cockerell, the  handler of the greyhound Hedwig regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Hedwig was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right metatarsals and right wrist, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Hedwig with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mrs.L Cockerell pleaded guilty to the charge, Hedwig was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rocketness was quick to begin. Disingenous was slow to begin. Sharks Glory went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).

Remembering Rod was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pectoral injury. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

All Inn Together was quick to begin. Jack's Pick crossed to the rail entering the back straight checking All Inn Together. Molly Chapta galloped on the heels of Wise Harry approaching the home turn. Shout Out Loud and Jack's Pick collided approaching the home turn checking Jack's Pick. Unbackable checked off Militant Chief approaching the home turn. Molly Chapta and Wise Harry collided entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Dailly, the trainer of Barton Bale regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Barton Bale last raced on 1st March 2017. Mr. Dailly stated that the greyhound was returning to racing from a back left toe amputation. Mr. Dailly also declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Barton Bale last raced at 36.0kg.

Weasley Grange and Meehan Rosie were quick to begin. Zipping Vito and Ivanka Rose collided approaching the home turn checking Zipping Vito. Loosey Jabna and Meehan Rosie collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight. Meehan Rosie clipped the heels of Weasley Grange at the winning post and fell as a result. Meehan Rosie was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Fitz Tate was quick to begin. So Funny and Troy Boyce collided on the first turn. Clovally Mansumi and Miss Adok collided on the first turn checking Miss Adok. Handsome Cosmo and Baker Street collided on the first turn. Handsome Cosmo and Miss Adok collided approaching the home turn checking Miss Adok. Troy Boyce and Bletchley collided on the home turn causing Bletchley to race wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Bundy Princess trialled over the 425mts from box 1, weight 26.8kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.67, the greyhound won by a margin of 0.25L. Bundy Princess was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Crymelon Holly trialled over the 425mts from box 3, weight 26.9kg, the greyhound pulled up in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 24.67. Crymelon Holly was not cleared.
