Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs Tammy Kennedy-Harris (representing the trainer of Runaround Susan) regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Runaround Susan last raced on 27 December 2016 and is returning to racing after a stopper injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from King Gibbo.
Tat Minnie and Runaround Susan collided approaching the 250m mark. Stroke Of Genius and Tat Minnie collided at the 250m mark. Go Go Danni and Stroke Of Genius collided at the 250m mark. Stroke Of Genius and Tat Minnie collided at the 200m mark.
Go Go Danni was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left gracilis (back) muscle. A 21-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms Shelly-Ann Warde regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound King Gibbo. Stewards directed that King Gibbo be boxed first in future events.
