Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Shane Wetzels, the trainer of Radiant Rose, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Radiant Rose last raced on 28 December 2016 and is returning to racing after a fracture in both hocks and also being in season.
A pre-race sample was taken from Cooler Colour.
Stroke Of Genius, Radiant Rose and Chase's Chance were slow to begin. Sugar Hit Johnny and Stroke Of Genius collided at the 300m mark. Stroke Of Genius and Cooler Colour collided at the 250m mark. Von Costa Kahn and Stroke Of Genius collided approaching the winning post.
Radiant Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a lumbo-sacral injury, and an injury to the right infraspinatus (shoulder) muscle. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
Ava's Angel was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left fore digital flexor. A 28-day stand down period was imposed.
