Magenta Gold was slow to begin.
Silverali, Brolly Bale, Kuta's Lad and Leopardstown collided on the first turn checking Kuta's Lad and Leopardstown. Leopardstown and Kuta's Lad collided on the second turn. Silverali checked off Brolly Bale in the front straight. Magenta Gold and Leopardstown collided on the third turn.
Magenta Gold was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Presutto in relation to the performance of Magenta Gold in this event. Mr Presutto believed after the greyhound began slowly and was up in class this may have contributed to its performance in this event.
