Pia, Walk Woody Walk and Mac Molly collided soon after the start checking Mac Molly and Pia.  Banjo King, Mars Rising and Bellario collided approaching the first turn checking Mars Rising.  Carry On Pendles galloped on Mars Rising severely checking both greyhounds. Jay Jay Bee raced wide in the back straight again in the home straight.

Mars Rising was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Carry On Pendles was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor sand burns to the right fore foot, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr A. Helleren, the trainer of the greyhound Rosie Riccarton regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Rosie Riccarton was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to left dorsi/trapezius muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Rosie Riccarton with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Helleren pleaded guilty to the charge, Rosie Riccarton was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr P. Presutto in relation to the performance of Magenta Gold in this event.  Mr Presutto believed after the greyhound began slowly and was up in class this may have contributed to its performance in this event.
