Stewards spoke to the starter Mr. N. Thornton regarding his failure to be behind the 660m boxes prior to the start of this event. Mr. Thornton stated that he had miscalculated the start location and was under the impression that the race was over 450m. Stewards reminded Mr. Thornton of his repsonsibilties and to be more aware in future.

McIvor Neville went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Pat Me Again, Whatta Rebel and Merc collided soon after the start checking Whatta Rebel and Capricorn Storm and causing Merc to fall. What Joy checked off Oakleigh Rose approaching the first turn. Dynamic Couldron and Oakleigh Rose collided approaching the home turn. Capricorn Storm raced wide on the home turn. Pat Me Again and What Joy collided in the home straight.

Merc was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately one minute owing to on-course difficulties with the SKY vision feed.

Bageera was very slow to begin (3 lenghts).

Stewards spoke to Ms Angela Warton, trainer regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Bageera.  Stewards directed that Bageera be boxed first in future events.

Ginza Lion was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to right deltoid, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr L. Smith, the trainer of Myrniong Cosmo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Myrniong Cosmo last raced on 11th March 2017. Mr L. Smith stated that  greyhound is returning from acidosis.

Mr  L Smith, trainer of Myrniong Cosmo  declared a new weight of 31.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Myrniong Cosmo  last raced at 30.6kg.
