Rapidfire Rita and Chantilly Beauty collided soon after the start, checking Chantilly Beauty. Oleg checked off the heels of Chantilly Beauty soon after the start. My Name's Ned, Rapidfire Rita and Oshkosh Erny Vee collided approaching the first turn, checking Rapidfire Rita. Dyna Nina crossed to the rail approaching the first turn and collided with Headline News. Dyna Nina and Oshkosh Erny Vee collided on the first turn. Headline News checked off the heels of Dyna Nina in the back straight checking Headline News, Oleg and My Name's Red. Rapidfire Rita and Destini Ricardo collided on the home turn.
My Name's Ned tired over the concluding stages and was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left supraspinatus (shoulder) and left tensor fascia (triangle) muscles. A three-day stand down period was imposed.
