Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Audacious Poppy upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Emi's Boy Murph and Audacious Poppy collided soon after the start. Hey Shaza Fozz checked off the heels of Audacious Poppy approaching the first turn and as a result Emi's Boy Murph was forced wide.. Night King checked off the heels of Audacious Poppy on the home turn, checking Night King and No Permit. Hey Shaza Fozz tired over the concluding stages.
Hey Shaza Fozz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left sartorius (pencil) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs Amie Peak, the trainer of the greyhound Hey Shaza Fozz, regarding the greyhound's performance over the concluding stages. Mrs Peak stated that she has been running Hey Shaza Fozz at Healesville lately and had stepped up the greyhound's running distance for this event considerably. Mrs Peak was of the opinion that Hey Shaza Fozz cannot run this particular distance at this stage and assured Stewards she would nominate for more suitable distance in future. Stewards noted Mrs Peak's explanation and took no further action.
