Xava Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn left hind nail, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Loverso, the handler of the greyhound Zorn Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Zorn Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left biceps, a five day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Zorn Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Loverso pleaded guilty to the charge, Zorn Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Reality Hawk was slow to begin. Vintage Millane and Urana Banjo collided approaching the first turn. Sala Bale and Lektra Miss collided approaching the home turn checking Sala Bale. Sala Bale checked off Very Venom approaching the home turn checking Urana Banjo. Reality Hawk checked off Sala Bale on the home turn and collided with Urana Banjo, checking Reality Hawk and Urana Banjo. Lektra Miss and Very Venom collided in the home straight.

Urana Banjo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left hamstring and biceps, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Allen Quintus was slow to begin. Possibly and Riverdale Sugar collided soon after the start checking Possibly. Riverdale Sugar and Penny Pop collided on the first turn severely checking Riverdale Sugar. More Moment, Riverdale Sugar and Penny Pop collided on the home turn checking More Moment and Penny Pop. Sporto Brian and Possibly collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

George Regis was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left flexor tendon, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Allen Quintus - the winner of the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Hansen, the trainer of Destini Mantello regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Destini Mantello last raced on 4th January, 2017.  Mr. Hansen stated that the greyhound was new to his kennel.

Rock It Ronny and Rick Grimes were slow to begin. Calabasas and Bombshell Bandit collided approaching the first turn checking Calabasas. Leachwood Lass and Bombshell Bandit collided approaching the first turn checking Leachwood Lass. Leachwood Lass and Calabasas collided in the home straight.

Unique Replica and Perceptive collided approaching the first turn checking Unique Replica. Rockin' Rico, Gotham Queen and Cloona Express collided on the first turn checking Gotham Queen and Kiranna. Perceptive and Cloona Express collided on the home turn.

Paranoia was a late scratching at 6.26p.m. by Order of Stewards after it was established that the greyhound was not presented for its engagement.  At a subsequent inquiry kennel representative Mr. C. Dyett was charged under GAR86(o) with negligence.  Mr. Dyett pleaded guilty to the charge and was fined the sum of $250.

Don Lesta was slow to begin. Silky Strings and Jazzy Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Jazzy Bale. Silky Strings and Myrniong Corner collided on the first turn.

Avatar Thor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right elbow injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Mi Blue Day and Flaming Elite collided approaching the home turn checking Mi Blue Day.

Kiwi Collision was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr. J. Willoughby, kennel representative of Marlow's Magic declared a new weight of 32.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Marlow's magic last raced at 30.9kg.

Ms. B. Cachia, kennel representative of Taarie Bale declared a new weight of 25.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Taarie Bale last raced at 26.9kg.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Seabrook Dill a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Scott Cosmic was quick to begin. Showtime Mystery and Tiggerlong Scar collided approaching the first turn checking Showtime Mystery. Tiggerlong Scar checked off Seabrook Dill on the first turn.
