Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Minnie Ha Ha.
May's Melody was slow to begin. Doogee checked off Rival Scar on the first turn. Full Blown Turbo checked off Doogee in the back straight. Rival Scar raced wide in the back straight, checking May's Melody. Full Blown Turbo and May's Melody collided approaching the home turn checking Full Blown Turbo.
A sample was taken from Doogee - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Weir-smith, trainer of Doogee regarding the greyhound performing above market expectations in today's event. Mr. Weir-smith stated that Doogee was having it's first start for him today after a short spell. Mr. Weir-smith added that Doogee had been trialing well leading into today's event and felt, in his opinion the greyhound would be competitive. Stewards noted his comments and directed a sample be taken from the greyhound.
