Sleek Nitro was slow to begin. Speedy Ryder, Audacious Assin and Poison Pen collided approaching the first turn, checking Speedy Ryder and Audacious Assin. Cosmic George checked off Speedy Ryder on the first turn. Speedy Ryder checked off Audacious Assin on the home turn and collided with All Inn Layla, checking Poison Pen and All Inn Layla. Speedy Ryder galloped on the heels of Audacious Assin on the home turn. Speedy Ryder and Audacious Assin collided several times in the home straight.
Poisen Pen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an inured right monkey muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
