Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr G Dailey, the trainers representative of Olfina Allen regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Olfina Allen last raced on 17th December 2016. Mr G Dailey stated that the greyhound had returned to racing from a left back toe injury.
Stewards spoke to Mr M. Grima, the trainer of Jetmag Skipper regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jetmag Skipper last raced on 30th December 2016. Mr M. Grima stated that greyhound had returned to racing from a change of kennel.
Mr M. Grima, trainer of Jetmag Skipper declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jetmag Skipper last raced at 36.8kg.
Game Face, Olfina Allen and Ma Ma Keogh collided soon after the start, checking Olfina Allen. Ma Ma Keogh checked off Game Face approaching the first turn. Jetmag Skipper and Olfina Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Jetmag Skipper which lost ground as a result. Bageera and Ledgerwood Joe collided in the home straight.
Jetmag Skipper was vetted following the event and after being revetted following race 9, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
