Stewards spoke to G Dailly, the representative of the greyhound Dyna Linus regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Dyna Linus with marring. G Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Dyna Linus was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

China Catch 'Em was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Ain't My Fault, Rapidfire Rita and Cain Hoy collided soon after the start, checking Rapidfire Rita and Cain Hoy.  China Catch 'Em checked off Rapidfire Rita approaching the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr G Dailey, the trainers representative of Olfina Allen regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Olfina Allen last raced on 17th December 2016.  Mr G Dailey stated that the greyhound had returned to racing from a left back toe injury.

Stewards spoke to Mr M. Grima, the trainer of Jetmag Skipper regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Jetmag Skipper last raced on 30th December 2016. Mr M. Grima stated that greyhound had returned to racing from a change of kennel.

Mr M. Grima, trainer of Jetmag Skipper declared a new weight of 34.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Jetmag Skipper last raced at 36.8kg.

Game Face, Olfina Allen and Ma Ma Keogh collided soon after the start, checking Olfina Allen.  Ma Ma Keogh checked off Game Face approaching the first turn.  Jetmag Skipper and Olfina Allen collided approaching the first turn, checking Jetmag Skipper which lost ground as a result.  Bageera and Ledgerwood Joe collided in the home straight.

Kyrgios and Dyna Orenthal collided soon after the start, checking Pattaya Paul.  Dyna Orenthal crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Kyrgios and Pattaya Paul.  Canya Ayden and Bombora Comet collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.

Kyrgios was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
