Steward's Report
Kennelling closed approximately 12 minutes late due to delays during the kennelling proceedure.
Shrek's Typhoon, Le Freak, Belron Gaz and Storm Train were slow to begin. Miss Springer was very slow to begin (3L).
Storm Train checked off Killara John approaching the first turn. Shrek's Typhoon and Emma's Sparrow collided approaching the first turn. Le Freak and Belron Gaz collided on the first turn, checking Le Freak. Shrek's Typhoon, Shrek's Fairy and Killara John collided on the first turn, severely checking Shrek's Typhoon, Killara John, Le Freak and Belron Gaz. Shrek's Fairy marred Storm Train on the home turn, checking Storm Train.
Shrek's Typhoon was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained no apparent injury. No stand down period was imposed.

Killara John was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right tensor fascia (triangle) muscle. A five-day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Robert Lesjak, the trainer of the greyhound Shrek's Fairy, regarding the greyhound’s racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Shrek's Fairy with marring. Mr Lesjak pleaded not guilty to the charge, Shrek's Fairy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warragul and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
