A pre-race sample was taken from Lissa Breen upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
One Cup Short was quick to begin.
Zipping Kane and Mi Blue Day collided soon after the start. One Cup Short and Coolan Boy collided approaching the first turn checking Coolan Boy. Lissa Breen, One Cup Short and Flying Smooth collided on the first turn checking One Cup Short and severely checking Flying Smooth. One Cup Short and Flying Smooth collided approaching the second turn checking Flying Smooth. Zipping Kane and One Cup Short collided on the second turn checking One Cup Short.
