Steward's Report

Kingston Earl was a late scratching at 6:05pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Ms A. Taylor was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Galloping Ashley.

Tai Chi Mini was quick to begin.  Cash Ownley and Spot Of Magic were slow to begin.

Jemase and Galloping Ashley collided on the first turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mrs P. Burns, the trainer of Buckle Up Nelson regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Buckle Up Nelson last raced on 4/1/2016. Mrs Burns stated that the greyhound was returning from a left stopper and right shoulder injuries. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Buckle Up Nelson trialled over the 311mtrs from box 8, weight 34.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.81, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.75 lengths. Buckle Up Nelson was Cleared. Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr S. Kipirtidis, the trainer of Grand Juka regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Grand Juka last raced on 24/11/2016. Mr Kipirtidis stated that the greyhound was returning from a broken right fibula. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Grand Juka trialled over the 311mtrs from box 2, weight 29.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was17.81, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 16.0 lengths. Grand Juka was Cleared. (Checked on the first turn).

Satisfactory Trial Results -Zelemar Bomba trialled over the 311mtrs from box 1, weight 29.9kgs, the greyhound was placed1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.81, the greyhound won by a margin of 2.5 lengths. Zelemar Bomba was Cleared. Mr D. Crawford, trainer of Zelemar Bomba declared a new weight of 29.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Zelemar Bomba last raced at 32.0kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results -San Pablo trialled over the 311mtrs from box 3, weight 30.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.81, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7 lengths. San Pablo was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results -Nellie's Lad trialled over the 311mtrs from box 5, weight 33.7kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 17.81, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2.5 lengths. Nellie's Lad was Cleared.
