Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr M.Niele the trainer of Corleone regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Corleone last raced on 20 December 2016. Mr Niele stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following a change of kennel.
A pre race sample was taken from Melissa Lee.
Shi The One was slow to begin. Jai Jai Away, Exford Oak and Melissa Lee collided soon after the start checking Jai Jai Away. Jai Jai Away, Exford Oak and Melissa Lee collided approaching the first turn checking Jai Jai Away and Exford Oak. Belena Bold, Bellini Martini, Melissa Lee and Gobbledegook collided on the first turn checking Bellini Martini and Melissa Lee. Melissa Lee checked off Gobbledegook on the first turn. Bellini Martini and Shi The One collided approaching the home turn causing Shi The One to fall. Bellini Martini checked of Gobbledegook approaching the home turn. Bellini Martini and Melissa Lee raced wide entering the home straight.
Shi The One was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained and injury to the right biceps, a 10 stand down period was imposed.
