Aston Miley was a late scratching at 4:05pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an elevated temperature .  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Flash Bobbie was quick to begin.  Mella Moo, Regas Baby and Coolgirl Miss were slow to begin.  Flash Bobbie, Doc's Reward,  Mood Swings and Riviera Cruz collided on the first turn checking Flash Bobbie and severely checking Doc's Reward.  Mood Swings, Regas Baby and Coolgirl Miss collided on the first turn checking Mood Swings.  Coolgirl Miss galloped on Riviera Cruz approaching the home turn severely checking Riviera Cruz.  Mood Swings, Riviera Cruz and Coolgirl  Miss collided on the home turn checking Riviera Cruz, Coolgirl Miss and Flash Bobbie.

Riviera Cruz was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg.   No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainers representative of Riverside Cruz, Mr. S. Healey regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  After reviewing the official race footage and on taking into acount Mr. Healey's observations, Stewards believed the greyhound's racing actions was a result of being galloped on by Coolgirl Miss and took no further action.

Coolgirl Miss was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent  injury found.  Mr. Brown, trainer of Coolgirl Miss declined the option to have the greyhound re vetted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Brown , the trainer of the greyhound Coolgirl Miss regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Coolgirl Miss with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Brown  pleaded guilty to the charge.  Coolgirl Miss was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Tram Tracker was quick to begin.  Heard A Rumour and Happy Deejay were slow to begin.  Salegrey Wy Yung was very slow to begin (4 lengths).  Seaton Star, Dava Supreme and Tram Tracker collided on the first turn checking Tram Tracker. Seaton Star, Tram Tracker and Small Rose collided on the first turn.  Heard A Rumour raced wide on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Zipping Hugh.

Our Bravo Rose was quick to begin.  Akina Blitz was slow to begin.  Master Al and Zipping Hugh collided on the first turn checking Master Al.  Zipping Hugh checked off Kisseemee entering the back straight severely checking Zipping Hugh which lost considerable ground.

Zipping Hugh was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Sir Jay Jay and Mister Heeney were slow to begin.  Crackerjack Jake, Moneypenny and Ishmy Brother collided soon after the start checking Moneypenny.  Ishmy Brother and Blue Alcatraz collided on the first turn.  Blue Alcatraz and Mister Heeney collided on the third turn.

Bumble Bee Bolto, Simply Mystic, Shanlyn George and Lainey's Fortune were slow to begin.  Sam Whelan, Bumble Bee Bolto and Simply Mystic collided approaching the first turn checking Bumble Bee Bolto.  Shanlyn George,Lainey's Fortune and Crazy Jo Jo collided on the first turn checking Shanlyn George.  Zipping Hawk crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Maximum Mak.  Maximum Mak, Simply Mystic and Crazy Jo Jo collided approaching the home turn checking Maximum Mak and Simply Mystic.  Crazy Jo Jo galloped on Sam Whelan approaching the home turn.  Crazy Jo Jo and Sam Whelan collided on the home turn causing Crazy Jo Jo to stumble.

A pre race sample was taken from Megellas Fairy.

Gentle Giant was slow to begin.  Tito Mojito and Megellas Fairy collided on the first turn.  Invasion and Meehan Rosie collided approaching the home turn.  Invasion and Gentle Giant collided in the home straight checking Megellas Fairy.

A pre race sample was taken from Poor Old Frank.

Conclusive was quick to begin.  Petadale and Nitro Swagger were slow to begin.  Flawless Bling, Fairy Where, Poor Old Frank and Ishmy Girl collided soon after the start checking Fairy Where and Poor Old Frank.  Flawless Bling, Conclusive and Ishmy Girl collided on the first turn checking Conclusive.  Nitro Swagger clipped the heels of Conclusive approaching the home turn and stumbled as a result.  Flawless Bling and Ishmy Girl collided on the home turn.  Conclusive and Poor Old Frank collided on the home turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Proven Kodiak.

Chase's Chance was slow to begin.  Manzeene Man and Teflon Travis collided approaching the first turn checking Teflon Travis.  Wild Hunny, Manzeene Man, Wot Price Flash, Teflon Travis and Chase's Chance collided on the first turn checking Wild Hunny, Teflon Travis, Chase's Chance and Manzeene Man and severely checking Wot Price Flash which fell.  Wild Hunny and Lektra Damage collided entering the home straight.

Wot Price Flash was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right femur and was humanely euthanased.

A pre race sample was taken from Row Tay Tom.

Row Tay Tom and Corroboree were slow to begin.  Select Danger checked off Osaka Bale on the first turn.  Osaka Bale and Zipping Kirby collided on the first turn checking Osaka Bale and Omega Vera .  Zipping Kirby checked off  Zero  Five approaching the home turn checking Corroboree.  Omega Vera and Corroboree collided approaching the home turn.

Galester Hook was slow to begin.  Tumble And Dry and Aston Noir collided approaching the first turn.  Aston Noir checked off Galester Hook entering the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from One More Tom.

Barra Johnson, Roaring Rampage and Shades Of Sassy were slow to begin.  Tambo Flash, Tiger Rance and One More Tom collided soon after the start checking Tiger Rance.  Tambo Flash, One More Tom and Kiera Bale collided on the first turn checking One More Tom.  Kiera Bale checked off Shades Of Sassy approaching the home turn.  Tiger Rance checked off Kiera Bale approaching the home turn.  Tiger Rance and One More Tom collided in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Gully Fever.

Kilmany Flyer  was slow to begin.  Zambora Pride was very slow out (20 lengths) and took no competitive part in the event.  Gully Fever, Diamond Vee and Any Other Union collided approaching the first turn checking Diamond Vee.  Peninsula Panda, Gully Fever and Wadelock Mindy collided on the first turn checking Gully Fever.  Peninsula Panda checked off Any Other Union approaching the home turn checking Wadelock Mindy.  Peninsula Panda and Diamond Vee collided approaching the home turn.  Diamond Vee crossed in in the home straight checking Kilmany Flyer, Gully Fever and Peninsula Panda; Peninsula Panda stumbled as a result.

Zambora Pride was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Julian, the trainer's representative of the greyhound Zambora Pride.  Stewards deemed the performance of Zambora Pride unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Zambora Pride must perform  a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) -  Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Majoor, the trainer of Top Shot Jack regarding the length of time since the greyhound raced.  Top Shot Jack last raced on 24th February 2017.  Mr. Majoor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suspension.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Top Shot Jack trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 32.4kgs,  the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of  4.  The time of the trial was 25.50, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5 lengths.  Top Shot Jack was Cleared.
