Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Gully Fever.
Kilmany Flyer was slow to begin. Zambora Pride was very slow out (20 lengths) and took no competitive part in the event. Gully Fever, Diamond Vee and Any Other Union collided approaching the first turn checking Diamond Vee. Peninsula Panda, Gully Fever and Wadelock Mindy collided on the first turn checking Gully Fever. Peninsula Panda checked off Any Other Union approaching the home turn checking Wadelock Mindy. Peninsula Panda and Diamond Vee collided approaching the home turn. Diamond Vee crossed in in the home straight checking Kilmany Flyer, Gully Fever and Peninsula Panda; Peninsula Panda stumbled as a result.
Zambora Pride was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Julian, the trainer's representative of the greyhound Zambora Pride. Stewards deemed the performance of Zambora Pride unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Zambora Pride must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
MEETING COMMENTS:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Majoor, the trainer of Top Shot Jack regarding the length of time since the greyhound raced. Top Shot Jack last raced on 24th February 2017. Mr. Majoor stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after suspension. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Top Shot Jack trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 32.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 25.50, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4.5 lengths. Top Shot Jack was Cleared.
