Steward's Report
Brousko, Alpha Aion and Rapidfire Rita collided approaching the first turn, checking Alpha Aion and Rapidfire Rita. Sprint Tee and Destini Cheetah collided on the first turn, checking Sprint Tee. El Mirage and Sprint Tee collided on the first turn, severely checking Sprint Tee which fell as a result. Brousko and Rapidfire Rita collided approaching the third turn. Rapidfire Rita and Alpha Aion collided on the third turn, checking Alpha Aion.
Sprint Tee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind paw, no stand down period was imposed.
Rapidfire Rita was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Treherne, the trainer of the greyhound Rapidfire Rita. Stewards deemed the performance of Rapidfire Rita unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Rapidfire Rita must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
