Acclaim was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triangle muscles, a five day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D Chapman, the representative of Destini Doll regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Destini Doll last raced on 15th January, 2017 and is returning to racing after a right back muscle injury and a change of kennel. 

King Of Diamonds and Wolfbane Mccabe were slow to begin. All About Corey and Rocky Ravioli collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn. Rocky Ravioli crossed to the outside on the first turn, severely checking King Of Diamonds, Wolfbane Mccabe and Destini Doll, causing King Of Diamonds to stumble. Elusive Pearl and All About Corey collided on the second turn, checking Elusive Pearl.

King Of Diamonds was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Destini Doll was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left medial stifle, no stand down period was imposed.

Master Mordecai and Benlura were slow to begin. Dennis Gallon, Liam, One For Me and Benlura collided on the first turn, checking Liam, One For Me, Benlura and Kelly Hook. Stewards spoke to Mr. N Koutsourakis, the trainer of Diamond Rocks regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Diamond Rocks last raced on 15th January, 2017 and is returning to racing after a season.

Light The Track was slow to begin. Diamond Rocks and Feel Your Heart collided soon after the start. Gaza's Rooster, Diamond Rocks and Feel Your Heart collided on the first turn. Lockrod and Dreamy Julian collided on the first turn. Gaza's Rooster checked off Dreamy Julian on the first turn, severely checking Gaza's Rooster, Diamond Rocks, Feel Your Heart, Empress Rose and Light The Track. Gaza's Rooster and Diamond Rocks collided approaching the third turn. 

Brousko, Alpha Aion and Rapidfire Rita collided approaching the first turn, checking Alpha Aion and Rapidfire Rita. Sprint Tee and Destini Cheetah collided on the first turn, checking Sprint Tee. El Mirage and Sprint Tee collided on the first turn, severely checking Sprint Tee which fell as a result. Brousko and Rapidfire Rita collided approaching the third turn. Rapidfire Rita and Alpha Aion collided on the third turn, checking Alpha Aion. 

Sprint Tee was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hind paw, no stand down period was imposed. 

Rapidfire Rita was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a seven day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Treherne, the trainer of the greyhound Rapidfire Rita.  Stewards deemed the performance of Rapidfire Rita unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Rapidfire Rita must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Iona Whiteflash was slow to begin. I'm Electric was quick to begin. I'm Electric and Cindeen Jates collided on the first turn, checking Cindeen Jates. I'm Electric and Cindeen Jates collided on the second turn, checking I'm Electric. On The Trail and Mr. Bad Example collided on the home turn. 

Emio Bale, Destini Mermaid and Mademoiselle Sox were quick to begin. Rapanui Revival and Weekend In Paris collided approaching the first turn. You Can Jive checked off Empress Lu approaching the first turn. Rapanui Revival clipped the heels of Emio Bale in the back straight. Mademoiselle Sox and You Can Jive collided on the fourth turn.

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Destini Ricardo trialled over the 515m from box 1, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of four starters. The time of the trial was 29.86, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 lengths. Destini Ricardo was cleared to race without blinkers.
