A pre race sample was taken from Sub Zero Magic.
Rylies Jack, Dr. Walter and Doobstar were slow to begin. Rylies Jack and Dr. Walter collided soon after the start checking Dr. Walter. Rylies Jack, Shotgun Doll and Tophat And Tails collided approaching the first turn. Silky Strings raced wide to the first turn. Shotgun Doll, Tophat And Tails and Dr. Walter collided on the first turn. Silky Strings, Tophat And Tails, Shotgun Doll and Dr. Walter collided approaching the home turn checking Shotgun Doll and Dr. Walter. Rylies Jack and Silky Strings collided on the home turn checking Rylies Jack. Rylie's Jack and Tophat And Tails collided entering the home straight checking Tophat And Tails. Doobstar and Tophat And Tails collided in the home straight. Rylies Jack fell after the winning post.
Rylies Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Trial One:
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr R.Clark, the trainer of Joyous regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Joyous last raced on 16th November, 2016. Mr Clark stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Joyous trialled over the 425mts from box 1, weight 26.5kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.98, the greyhound won by a margin of 4L. Joyous was cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Eden's Belle trialled over the 425mts from box 7, weight 27.6kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.98, the greyhound lost by a margin of 6.25L. Eden's Belle was cleared.
Trial Two:
Satisfactory Trial Results - Gravel Rash Riot trialled over the 425mts from box 7, weight 30.6kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of four. The time of the trial was 23.90, the greyhound lost by a margin of 4.5L. Gravel Rash Riot was cleared.
