Zipping Hooch, John John Lava, Allen Xander and Vancouver Star were slow to begin. Down In Mexico and Who Told Simon collided soon after the start. Allen Xander and Vancouver Star collided approaching the first turn checking Allen Xander. Fuelish, Kachina Allen and Down In Mexico collided approaching the first turn checking Kachina Allen. Kachina Allen, Zipping Hooch and John John Lava collided on the first turn. Fuelish galloped on the heels of Down In Mexico on the first turn checking Fuelish. Zipping Hooch and John John Lava collided approaching the second turn. Allen Xander and Kachina Allen collided appraoching the second turn. Kachina Allen and Zipping Hooch collided approahing the second turn checking both. Fuelish and John John Lava approaching the home turn checking Fuelish. Fuelish and Zipping Hooch collided approaching the home turn and on the home turn checking both.

Down In Mexico was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hamstring and right triangle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
