Steward's Report
Dyna Orenthal was quick to begin. Avenger Bale, Winlock Hadley and Dyna Lokey were slow to bigin. Dyna Orenthal and Rockoon approaching the first turn checking Rockoon. Dyna Nina, Beaumont and Avenger Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Avenger Bale. Avenger Bale and Beaumont collided approaching the second turn. Dyna Lokey checked off Avenger Bale approaching the second turn. Avenger Bale eased on the second turn and collided with Dyna Nina, checking Avenger Bale and severely checking Dyna Nina. Avenger Bale checked off Dyna Lokey in the back straight. Beaumont eased in the home straight and collided with Dyna Orenthal. Beaumont and Dyna Orenthal collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr T. Dailly, handler of the greyhound Avenger Bale regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the second turn. Avenger Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and both hamstrings, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Avenger Bale with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dailly pleaded guilty to the charge, Avenger Bale was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
Beaumont was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr W. McMahon, the trainer of the greyhound Beaumont regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Beaumont with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr McMahon pleaded guilty to the charge, Beaumont was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.
