Steward's Report
Cambo's Cindy, Bageera and Mi Blue Day collided soon after the start checking Cambo's Cindy and Bageera. Bageera checked off Perceptive on the first turn checking Cambo's Cindy. Kadalex Kid crossed to the outside and eased on the second turn.
Kadalex Kid was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Nibbs, the trainer of the greyhound Kadalex Kid regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the second turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), Stewards charged Kadalex Kid with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Nibbs pleaded guilty to the charge. Kadalex Kid was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to Mr. W. McMahon, the trainer of the greyhound Cambo's Cindy and issued him with a warning regarding his late arrival to the kennels to prepare his greyhound for this event, pursuant to GAR 46(2).
A pre-race car park sample and a pre-race sample were unable to be obtained from Kadalex Kid. A post race sample was subsequently taken.
A sample was taken from Tobacco Leaf, the winner of the event.
