A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Nitro Power a post-race sample was subsequently taken.
Glamorous Cheech and Oaklands were slow to begin. Silver Rockstar, Golden Blaze and Tamile Lass collided soon after the start checking Silver Rockstar and Golden Blaze. Glamorous Cheech and Nitro Power collided on the first turn checking Nitro Power which contacted the running rail and lost ground. Glamorous Cheech contacted the running rail on the first turn. Glamorous Cheech, Silver Rockstar and Golden Blaze collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.
