Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Knocker, the Trainer of Flying Zarli regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Flying Zarli last raced on 6 January 2016. Mr Knocker stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right monkey muscle injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Audacious Mickan.
A pre-race sample was taken from Vane Blue.
Audacious Mickan was slow to begin. Lloyd Street and Flying Zarli collided soon after the start. Burnt Rubber and Jasocate collided approaching the first turn checking Jasocate. Flying Zarli, Vane Blue and Burnt Rubber collided approaching the first turn checking Vane Blue and Flying Zarli. Audacious Mickan and Metro's Girl collided entering the home straight. Lloyd Street, Burnt Rubber and Jasocate raced wide in the home straight.
Meeting Comments:
Track Curator Mr. M. Bickerdike advised Stewards that the track was lightly harrowed on 01/05/17.
Satisfactory Trial and blinkers on result - Time To Launch trialled over the 400m from box 1, weight 27.2kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 23.05 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths. Time To Launch was cleared and cleared to race in blinkers.
