A. Dailly, trainer of Dyna Peanut declared a new weight of 26.9kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dyna Peanut last raced at 28.3kg.
Mepunga Paddy was quick to begin. Silky Sock and Running Yards were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Kirsty's Me Mum checked off Bopa Allen approaching the first turn. Kirsty's Me Mum checked off Dyna Peanut on the first turn. Running Yards checked off Dyna Nami on the first turn, severely checking Bopa Allen, which fell as a result. Ma Ma Keogh checked off Dyna Nami approaching the home turn, checking Dyna Peanut.
Bopa Allen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist, right pencil muscle, left front nail and right hind nail, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
