An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Pink Caviar engaged in this event on 21st April 2016, pursuant to GAR 79A.
Blackberry Road and Honey Ale collided soon after the start, checking Blackberry Road. Blackberry Road, Honey Ale and Pink Caviar collided approaching the first turn, checking Honey Ale. Orchard Road and Oddball Quick collided approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Honey Ale contacted the running rail approaching the home turn. Orchard Road checked off Oddball Quick approaching the home turn. Honey Ale became unbalanced and raced wide on the home turn.
Honey Ale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right wrist and right pencil muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Blackberry Road - the winner of the event.
