Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Mcguire, the trainer of Sootette regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sootette last raced on 28th of December, 2015. Mr. Mcguire stated that Sootette is returning to racing after being on season.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Partridge, the trainer of Miss Belena regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Belena last raced on 1st of December, 2015. Mr. Partridge stated that Miss Belena is returning to racing after being on season.
A pre race sample was taken from Court Gift upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Shooter's Irish and Paul Stealer collided soon after the start. Soul Affair checked off Shooter's Irish on the first turn. Shooter's Irish faultered on the first turn and lost ground as a result. Paul Stealer and Wolf Spy raced wide in the home straight and collided.
Shooter's Irish was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
