The start of this race was delayed by approximately 1 and a half minutes to hold for a New South Wales greyhound event.
Smooth Silver, Kifinti and Lord Regnar collided soon after the start. Don's Licker checked off Paramount Arrow on the first turn checking Smooth Silver, Kifinti and Lord Regnar. Kifinti and Don's Licker collided approaching the home turn. Don's Licker and Lord Regnar collided on the home turn. Lord Regnar and Flying Casey raced wide in the home straight. Paramount Arrow checked off Suki Suki in the home straight.
