Dulcet Sound, Samba Law and Dame Oregano were slow to begin. Samba Law checked off Dyna Nami on the first turn checking Dulcet Sound and severely checking Dame Oregano; Dame Oregano fell and tailed off as a result. Dyna Nami checked off Hurry Up Chief approaching the home turn. Dyna Nami and Kinloch Creek collided approaching the home turn checking Kinloch Creek. Premier Macs checked off Hurry Up Chief entering the home straight. Dyna Nami checked off Hurry Up Chief approaching the winning post.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Dame Oregano became dislodged during the running of the event.
Dame Oregano was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
