Stewards noted that the muzzle of Dame Oregano became dislodged during the running of the event.

Dame Oregano was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Collyer, the trainer of Sir Murray regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Sir Murray last raced on the 19th of October, 2015.  Mr. Collyer stated that Sir Murray is returning to racing from a spell.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately one and a half minutes to allow Stewards to notify Club staff to cease a childrens's activity which was adjacent to the Race Track.

Cullquin Bomber was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained bruising to its left hind and left front rump and an injury to its left monkey muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. A. Courts, the trainer of Lord Regnar regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lord Regnar last raced on the 8th of January, 2016.  Ms. Courts stated that Lord Regnar is returning to racing from a change of kennel.

Ms. A. Courts, trainer of Lord Regnar declared a new weight of 29.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lord Regnar last raced at 28.3kgs.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Red Gold trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 1, weight 33.3kgs.  The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.10.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 15.5 lengths.  Red Gold was cleared.

Tinker Bob trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 8, weight 30.6kgs.  The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 22.10.  The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths.  Tinker Bob was cleared.
