Tiny Profit was quick to begin. Lektra Soul and Mister Marshman were slow to begin. Silvery Waters and Hollywood Diz collided soon after the start. Boo Who Who and Miss Belena collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn. Hollywood Diz checked off Silvery Waters on the first turn and stumbled as a result. Lektra Soul and Silvery Waters collided approaching the home turn checking Silvery Waters. Hollywood Diz checked off Silvery Waters approaching the home turn. Silvery Waters and Hollywood Diz collided approaching the home turn checking Silvery Waters, Hollywood Diz and Mister Marshman. Hollywood Diz eased and checked Mister Marshman several times entering the home straight.
Hollywood Diz was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to K.Gavin the trainer of the greyhound Hollywood Diz. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Hollywood Diz with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR69(2)(a) before any future nomination be accepted.
